Woodside Tugboat Contract Boosts Louisiana Spend to More Than $1 Billion

BELLE CHASSE, La. – Woodside Energy has awarded a services contract to Green Tug Towing for the design and construction of four new tugs to be built at C&C Marine and Repair in Plaquemines Parish and delivered to Louisiana LNG in 2028. With this award, valued at more than $300 million, Woodside and its contractors have now committed more than $1 billion to Louisiana suppliers for the foundational development of the Louisiana LNG project.

New Analysis Projects Louisiana International Terminal to Deliver $33 Million in Annual Tax Revenue, Thousands of Jobs, to St. Bernard Parish

NEW ORLEANS, La – Greater New Orleans, Inc. has released a comprehensive economic and fiscal impact analysis of the Louisiana International Terminal (LIT), finding that the container ship terminal in Violet will generate more than $33 million in new annual tax revenues for St. Bernard Parish at full buildout — equivalent to a 58% increase over the parish’s current tax base — while adding more than 4,300 direct and indirect jobs to a workforce of fewer than 12,000.
